This lesson focusses on the class differences within Tudor England.
Pupils start by considering modern differences between rich and poor before being introduced to the various classes within Tudor society.
Pupils then watch a short video, with focussed questions to consider what the poor are like in Tudor England. They then watch a different clip of the same film, links all included, and are asked to focus on what the rich are like.
Class discussion on the differences is encouraged.
Pupils then listen to a podcast about Tudor Rich and Poor, and can use the differentiated handout or work freestyle on a table.
Pupils then complete a writing task explaining the differences in Tudor Rich and Tudor Poor.
