UK Constitution

UPDATED with additional exam practice! 2 hour detailed and well-differentiated lesson which covers the Edexcel Citizenship GCSE spec for Theme B – Democracy at work in the UK.

In particular:

  1. The institutions of the British constitution: the power of government, the prime minister and cabinet; the roles of the legislature, the Opposition, political parties, the monarch, citizens, the judiciary, the police and the civil service.
  2. That the UK has an uncodified constitution and examples of how this is changing, including as a result of devolution and membership of the EU.

The lesson includes a 2 hour detailed PowerPoint, information sheets, differentiated activity worksheets, differentiated challenge activities, exam practice questions and clips tasks. These resources have been designed to be engaging, detailed and easy to follow.

The PowerPoint and worksheets are in the ZIP file as there’s a lot of content. The images have been uploaded to show a few examples of the slides in the lesson :)
