Starter: Students need to complete the differentiated questions on the board (may be ideal to explain what culture is).

Main:

(i) - Students need to watch the two videos and answer the differentiated questions about what they saw and what changed.

(ii) - The students need to discuss what problems having free speech and freedom might cause.

(iii) - With the information packs, the students need to create a poster that shows how culture and Germany had changed under Stresemann (15 - 20 mins).

(iv) - Using the images of Rihanna, the students need to think about how each of the people mentioned might react to her and why.

(v) - Students now need to put themselves into the mindset of the Nazis who did not like the cultural changes. They need to move around the room with a pencil and censor the posters to show the Germany they would like to see.

(vi) - Students need to consider the next question in pairs and then share with the class.

Plenary: Though there is no plenary on the presentation, the teacher could ask a series of differentiated questions to test how much the students have learnt.
