Planning for a six week History unit on the Stone Age to Iron Age, used for Year 3 children (.doc)

Lessons included:

  1. I can understand where the the Stone Ages, Bronze Age and Iron Age belong on a timeline.
  2. I can explore what life was like in the Paleolithic and Mesolithic Stone Ages.
  3. I can explore what life was like in the Neolithic Stone Age, and discuss the achievements of Stone Age people.
  4. I can explore what life was like in the Bronze Age, and discuss the achievements of Bronze Age people.
  5. I can explore what life was like in the Iron Age, and discuss the achievements of Iron Age people.
  6. I can show how life changed over time for people in the Stone Ages, Bronze Age and Iron Age. I can make a decision about when was the better time to live.

National Curriculum Link: Pupils should be taught about changes in Britain from the Stone Age to the Iron Age.
