The students explore onomatopoeia's and design a piece of composed art work that expresses a sound. They then move onto drawing objects from direct observation that have letters in them. I use a drinks can as an example. All drawn examples are linked to the new GCSE grades to give the students drive.
There are a few starter tasks and an artist sheet with Roy Lichtenstien to help inspire the students.
