Once finished, they could then present their findings to the class to develop speaking skills. This resource provides students with a guided revision tool to secure their knowledge of the key GCSE Spanish topics. Its structure follows the Edexcel specification (5 themes), but it can be used with any other exam board. Students are given QR codes to access the revision materials. In case they couldn’t scan the codes, there is also a link for each day/task. We’ve also included templates for weekly and fortnightly challenges as well as a word document with the links to the resources.

Spanish taboo game to drill vocabulary - theme of school/education. The resource consits of 80 cards* and a board. Each card has a word for the team to guess and a crossed word that cannot be said by the person explaining the concept. Someone from the opposite team is in charge of checking that: the ‘forbidden’ word is not said words from the same family aren’t used gestures are not made If any of the above happens, this person will shout ‘¡Para!’ (Stop!), discard the card and pick another one for the other team to carry on. Pupils can also pass if they don’t know the word or how to describe it. The teams advance as many squares as words they guess within the time given in each round. On the board, pupils can land into three different types of squares: pink and blue squares: nothing happens if they land on these ones. They just wait for the next turn. ‘doble de tiempo’: their team gets double time on the next turn. -‘intercambiad posiciones’: both teams swap positions, no matter where they are at that point. Some are labelled wrong! Students must grab one card and name the animal they see before putting it down on a pile in the centre. If the animal is labelled wrong and they read it without correcting it, they will have to get all cards from the pile. The winner is the person who runs out of cards. Perfect to review animals vocabulary and key sounds pronunciation in class, but also to play at home as a family! ¡Vamos a practicar el vocabulario de los animales mientras nos divertimos!
