Students will recap simile, metaphor and personification before exploring two extracts. they will learn in a scaffolded way how to analyse and create their own paragraphs.

Double sided worksheet giving insight into effective opening, changing focus and zooming in with examples from popular fiction. Students are modeled on the approach to analyse this then led towards an exam style question.

A lesson encouraging students to decide on immediate, short, id and long term goals for their start in a new school.
