About Barnsley College
Barnsley College is a mixed, selective, non-denominational, general further education college situated in Barnsley, South Yorkshire. It is a 16-plus institution and has a total of seven campuses across the Barnsley area, from its Honeywell Sports Campus to its Think Low Carbon Centre. There are approximately 8,010 learners at the college, the majority of whom study full-time.
The institution was formed in 1990 from the merger of Barnsley College of Technology, Barnsley College of Art and Design, and Barnsley Sixth Form College, becoming the main place of education for 16-plus students in the area.
