Briscoe Lane Primary Academy

Briscoe Lane Academy is a 3 – 11 primary school located within the heart of East Manchester and is one of three academies within the Wise Owl Trust. Our academy has big ambitions for our children, families and community and this ambition doesn’t just end at the school gates. We are driven to break down barriers and provide our pupils with the tools needed to face challenges in learning and life.

Graded by Ofsted as ‘good’ in 2018, the staff at Briscoe Lane Academy have the highest expectations of all our children. As a Trust we are proud to have developed our own innovative curriculum, which is rooted in research and skilfully blends character work within wider topics and themes. We aim to promote a love of learning, encourage curiosity in the world and foster ambitions.  We believe passionately in the power education has in transforming futures. We have excellent working conditions and are committed to continually developing professionally. We provide a high quality CPD programme through a combination of in school training, training provided by external providers, instructional coaching and trust wide collaboration. Our motto of ‘Together Everyone Achieves More’ is fundamental to our everyday practice.
