The school is due to become an academy in May 2018. As a small school, with great ambitions, we are working with Ripley St Thomas Church of England Academy, an outstanding provider and Local teaching school, to form the areas first local multi academy trust. This provides excellent career development opportunities for staff, and the opportunity to form professional networks across the area for smaller subject teams.
As the areas' Secondary School of the Year in 2017, the school is also supporting another local school. Mrs Michael, is currently leading Morecambe Community High School. For staff, who are ambitious to develop their skills, there are opportunities to be involved in school improvement work.
