 academically, spiritually and physically.
• To provide a secure, caring and disciplined environment in which all students are able to develop confidence,
respect for themselves and others and are able to thrive.
• To enable students to develop emotionally and intellectually so that they appreciate beauty and the achievements of
 others.
• To work with parents and others to prepare students for adult life as family member, worker or member of the
 community.
• To enable our students to acquire a reasoned set of moral values and beliefs appropriate to the rapidly changing
and multicultural society in which we live.
• To provide our students with a stimulating and enjoyable experience which they will value for the rest of their lives.
• To place a focus upon health and fitness for all working in the school and provide opportunities for increased
 quality  access to physical activity.

Sports College Mission Statement

• Cheslyn Hay Academy is currently at the centre of local community sport as it forms part of
a joint user agreement with South Staffordshire District Council and this will be developed through greater provision
for Adult Education in courses related to Physical Education and Sport.
• The school currently has a thriving Physical Education department which produces high levels of attainment with all
ages and all abilities. This will be further enhanced through the structured professional development of all staff.
• Through continually developing links with community partners, opportunities and provision for participation at all
levels of Sport will be increased.
• All pupils will follow an accredited course in Physical Education and Sport, and this will be instrumental in
encouraging students to pursue both careers in the subject and healthy lifestyles.
• At Cheslyn Hay we believe that all pupils should be able to access ICT and as such all pupils will utilise a wide
range of technology related to Physical Education and Sport through the latest ‘virtual’ and interactive software.
• Pupils at Cheslyn Hay Academy will be encouraged to review their own progress and set
themselves targets based on Individual Activity Plans. This will encourage the pupils to become independent
learners with responsibility for their own progress.
