About Deyes High School
Ofsted – February 2011
‘The new headteacher has provided the vision, challenge and determination which have inspired all members of the school community to secure improvement. She has rapidly put in place many initiatives that are already having a positive impact on outcomes for students. She is supported by an able and experienced senior leadership team who are embracing change for the benefit of the students.’
At the Deyes High we really value our excellent staff team so we ensure that they are all fully supported in their work. We use a robust system of assessment, training and continuing professional development to support our staff’s development.
We believe we offer education with a difference which enables us to maintain the very highest standards of learning and personal development. We are noted for being a caring and well-disciplined school and our key aim is to ensure that all students realise beyond their potential. We are a happy school, with an energetic and talented staff committed to presenting high standards. Everyone has a part to play at Deyes High and everyone is listened to. Team work is precious, but so too are initiative and originality. We encourage positive attitudes and a ‘can-do’ culture. We aim to provide a secure, safe environment in which all our learners feel valued and where they can develop the skills, attributes and confidence which well serve them well throughout their life.
We are a fully inclusive school and we are proud of the high level of achievement and attainment of all of our youngsters, both in terms of academic success and participation in the many other opportunities that we are able to offer.
