Durham International School Kenya

Durham International School is a coeducational day school located in the heart of Nairobi.

As the first branch of a British School to open in East Africa, we are a sister school of Durham School UK and enjoy a long legacy of education excellence stretching back 600 years to the founding of Durham School in 1414.

At our beautiful Thigiri school next to Karura Forest, students thrive in a welcoming, engaging and vibrant learning environment. We follow the UK National Curriculum, drawing on a wide range of educational approaches and enhanced by the exciting learning opportunities made possible by our Kenyan setting.

We aim to develop a love of lifelong learning coupled with a culture of perseverance in the face of challenge so that students can flourish emotionally, socially, academically and physically.
