Following our successful Ofsted in November 2015, we are now a school of choice, with our admission numbers increasing year on year as a result. With this success comes the opportunity to develop our curriculum and staffing to meet the demand, and hence have some exciting new postions for September 2017.
Francis Combe has undergone a significant £25 million re-build in 2012, and enjoys state of the art facilities, including purpose-built teaching walls, open plan learning spaces and 21st century technologies.
The Academy works within the wider Meller Education Trust, a supportive and highly successful group of 7 Academies in South Hertfordshire and Hillingdon. Each Academy operates autonomously within the Federation, but we all collaborate closely in sharing improvement strategies and in supporting one another.

Hertfordshire is a fantastic place to live and bring up families. It was recently voted the best place to live and bring up children and its schools are recognised as amongst the best in the region and nationally. It is a county with much to offer; on the fringe of London with easy, affordable and fast access to London, but also with a rural feel and many traditions. Yes, accommodation is quite expensive in some parts of the county, but close to the Academy is very reasonable, however, we support this with a £2,000 relocation allowance for any teacher moving to the country, of a distance of more than 50 miles. it is essentially a great place to live, property holds its value and increases well above the national average, so it well worth the investment.
