GEMS Founders School, Al Mizhar (GFM)

GEMS Founders School, Al Mizhar opened in 2018 in Al Mizhar, Dubai, and has grown into a thriving FS1–Year 13 British curriculum school. Set within a spacious purpose-built campus, GFM offers an impressive range of facilities including dedicated Foundation Stage areas, sports pitches and courts, cricket nets, science and computing facilities, art and music spaces, a dance studio, drama and food technology rooms, a Sixth Form centre and an innovation hub for robotics, coding and creative learning. Its location in the established Al Mizhar community also provides easy access to Mirdif and the wider Downtown Dubai area.

Over the years, GFM has grown into a close-knit school community while continuing to develop its own character within the Founders family. With students from more than 90 nationalities, there is a strong international feel to the school, alongside a real connection to its local community. The school’s “Grow Flourish Mindful” approach is reflected in the way students are encouraged to become confident in themselves, discover what they enjoy and make the most of the opportunities around them. With the full journey from Foundation Stage to Sixth Form on one campus, GFM offers the familiarity of an established school alongside the energy and ambition that comes with a growing community.

The school follows the National Curriculum for England, offering IGCSE, AS and A level courses as well as a range of vocational pathways.

GEMS Founders School – Nad Al Hamar (GFH)

GEMS Founders School – Nad Al Hamar is the newest school within the GEMS Founders family, opening in August 2026 and bringing the experience of an established British education group to a brand-new school community. The school will initially welcome students from FS1 to Year 8 before expanding towards FS1–Year 13, following the National Curriculum for England. This is an exciting time to join, as the school is at the very beginning of its journey, giving teachers the opportunity to be part of its growth from day one and help establish the foundations for its future success.

The Primary phase has been thoughtfully designed to give young learners space to explore, create and develop their interests, with dedicated STEAM, Art and Music spaces alongside sports facilities, outdoor areas and spacious classrooms. Learning extends beyond the classroom through enrichment activities, visits, special events and leadership opportunities, while Arabic, Islamic Studies and UAE Social Studies form an important part of the wider Primary experience. For teachers, joining at this stage means becoming part of a close-knit team with the opportunity to bring ideas, take ownership and make a visible difference as the school and its community grow.
