Heritage International School is an independent school established to provide high-quality educational services to local and expatriate communities in Russia.  The school is part of Heritage Education Group, a leading private schools organisation in Russia. The school offers contemporary British international education to students from Pre-Nursery to Year Nine.

Our mission is to make a difference through education.

We aim to sustain an inspirational environment where children discover the world, make friends, stay active and care.

Our Core Values

Our five core values look at different components of our life. To stay inspired and happy, we need success in each of these, as they are equally important:

- Communicate. We promote dedicating time for friends, family and peers. We learn how to listen, talk and share our ideas.

- Invent. We believe by trying new ways are can make a difference.

- Share. We encourage to do nice things to make others happy.

- Enjoy. We invite everyone to be active and stay positive.

- Keep learning. We set a learning challenge every day we will enjoy achieving.

Destination and Campus Location

Moscow. Europe’s easternmost and largest capital city thrills with its artistry, history and majesty. Moscow exudes prosperity and vigour through her diverse architecture, from the vibrantly painted churches decorated with golden domes to carved-marble metro stations. Cosmopolitan in flavour, Russia's capital hosts an active and diverse expat community. Moscow always has something to offer from spacious green parks, world-class opera and ballet, facilities for every kind of imaginable sport, and endless dining experiences. And better yet, it offers the perfect jumping-off point for countless tourist destinations across Europe and beyond.

Heritage International School is located in the east of the city centre, part of a luxury residential area where many visiting foreign families live, surrounded by beautiful gardens and parks. There are numerous business centres near the campus. The school facilities are brand new and opened in September 2020 for students from Pre-Nursery to Year Six, with secondary school pupils joining in September 2021. We teach both the Cambridge and the Russian curricula and have an exciting extra-curricular activities programme. All classes are limited to a maximum of 18 students, with the younger years receiving additional classroom support through Learning Assistants and Nannies. Throughout the school, the Cambridge curriculum is taught for approximately 75% of the time with the remainder given to the Russian curriculum. Our expatriate students study Russian as an additional language but also have time to explore their own interests through a personalised learning programme. Our education is based on a values-based education system.

For some time I have wanted to work in Russia. So when a job came up to work in a brand new school in Moscow, I jumped at the chance. Working for the Heritage International school is turning out to be the best career choice that I have made in my international teaching journey so far. It has been a wonderful experience getting to know all the Heritage staff and working with the kids in year 2. The school itself is brand new and so there is a great sense of community and it feels like one big family. As for living in Moscow? Although the COVID restrictions are in place, as in wearing masks and keeping 1.5 metres distance, Moscow life is running as normal as it can be. In fact Moscow never sleeps! There are lots of things to do and so many places to visit. For me, I have only touched the tip of the iceberg but look forward to the next few years here so I can explore all the hidden gems that Russia has to offer.

From my first day at Heritage, I have felt so welcomed by each and every one of the fantastic people here. We really do have a wonderful team who genuinely care about the children and each other. It’s great to work in such a supportive environment where staff always go above and beyond the call of duty. Moscow is an amazing city in which to live and work; there’s so much to see and do. It’s so easy to get around the city and it has everything you need. Heritage have arranged some great social events too!

- Ms Marn, Heritage International School Teacher

I chose to be part of Heritage because I am interested in promoting a values-based education which will prepare our children with the skills they need now, and in the future. I am proud to be part of an incredibly welcoming community at Heritage. I am surrounded by staff across school who are committed and dedicated, and provide a caring and nurturing environment in which children can achieve. In the time that I have been here, I have been impressed with the atmosphere and morale between staff. Across our campus, people go the extra mile to help each other and genuinely care about the well-being of their co-workers. Heritage also does a good job of helping staff to meet up outside of school. We have been for tours of Moscow, meals together and several team-building activities. Heritage made the move to Moscow very easy. International members of staff were met at the airport and provided with a welcome pack. After that, the school community have been able to help us every step of the way and ensured that we felt settled and comfortable to life in Russia.

Heritage school has been nothing but supportive and welcoming. They have provided support with housing, healthcare, banking and being introduced to the city. The whole team is always willing to help when needed. Management and the teaching team have been very supportive during my NQT year and have always given me their time and patience. The school feels like a small community where staff and students support and work with each other. The school has a clear vision that strives for the best for the children.

- Mr Sam, Heritage International School Teacher

Working at Heritage International school we are all part of a ‘family’ working as a team in creating the best learning experiences for our children. The children have a fantastic attitude to learning and are enthusiastic and engaged. The Cambridge Curriculum offers a structure with flexibility to adapt and change to meet the needs of every child. Working and living in Moscow is unique, it’s a vibrant city with many shopping centers and a range of leisure activities to suit everyone. The city is easy to negotiate as the transport system is good. You can quickly learn the basic words in Russian but it is not necessary to live here as many people speak English and are helpful. I like the school values because it's actually very important and we do fun things with the values like make posters about being open-minded and do activities to practice our teamwork!

- Heritage International School Student

I like this school because my child likes it! The teachers always help the students explore the world and learn new things. I can also see that every student’s opinion is treated with respect and everyone feels confident when sharing feelings and ideas.

- Heritage International School Parent

The school is really fun, people respect each other and they are nice. The teachers are kind, they know how to make things fun, and I learn a lot.

- Heritage International School Student

The best thing about the school is the quality of the teachers. They are professional, kind and it is obvious that they really care about every student. I have great trust for them and I am very glad that my children can be in such a positive and friendly environment.
