About International School Hannover Region

The International School Hannover Region seeks to provide a high quality, balanced educational program in the English language for children of internationally-minded families. We offer a dynamic environment where each student is challenged and supported to become a dedicated learner for life and a contributing member of the local and global community.

Philosophy of Education

1. The Person

The International School Hannover Region is committed to stimulating and developing each student's individual abilities and qualities to their highest potential. We believe this is best achieved within a safe, nurturing and creative environment.

2. The Learner

The program of academic studies should empower the students to lead a fulfilling and productive life in a changing world. We believe academic learning is most effective when it is based upon active learning experiences, creative problem-solving and critical international standards of the International Baccalaureate, should be presented with clear expectations to students, staff and parents.

3. The Global Citizen

Each student should be valued and enabled to discover and appreciate who they are, what they may become, and what they can contribute to the family, school, state and the world. The program should encourage understanding and appreciation of world cultures and a respect for the world's environment.
