Vision and values

The school strives to teach a curriculum that encourages and excites children to fulfil their potential, sparking a love of learning and achieving. Teachers aim to make every pupil feel valued. They instil British and community values into every pupil, especially tolerance and acceptance.

Reading, writing and mathematics are important components of the curriculum, but King’s House School emphasises the need for extra-curricular activities such as music, sport, drama and the arts. Nearly 200 students learn a musical instrument. The school boasts a newly-refurbished gym equipped with climbing wall, cricket net, basketball hoops, an astroturf pitch and a playground. All children, from nursery to Year 8, take part in drama productions. There are even judo and chess clubs.

ISI report

“Throughout the school, pupils are extremely well educated and highly successful in their learning across all subjects and activities. The school successfully fulfils its aims to enable all pupils to develop their academic, social, sporting and artistic attributes.”
