Who Are We?

Montagu Academy is a friendly school, situated in the heart of Mexborough, Doncaster, and we are extremely proud to be a part of Delta Academies Trust. This is a vibrant learning environment where all staff are dedicated to providing a stimulating, exciting atmosphere where everyone feels valued and safe. This is a school where creativity and ideas are able to flourish, and the children can maximise their progress and become the best they can be. In addition, we aim to enthuse all our children and develop caring and respectful individuals. This is achieved by providing a purposeful and engaging curriculum, as well as promoting consistent and fair behaviour. Furthermore, the link between home and school is integral to a child’s success and we encourage parents to take an active part in their child’s learning. We see parents as partners in the education of their children and greatly value their contribution to school life. Whatever the needs of the child or the special interests that they may have, we aim to ensure that each and every individual thrives at Montagu. 

The ethos in our school is one of positivity and openness, with staff welcoming and supporting each other in order to improve outcomes for all our children. The modelling of great practice, by leaders, ensures positive attitudes are fostered by all and our vision is to provide the best education for the children of Montagu. This is because we want the children here to have memorable experiences, build on what they know and can do and become confident life-long learners.

Montagu also work in collaboration with a cluster of primary schools in Doncaster who are also part of Delta Academies Trust. Together we have a culture of professional learning, reflection and collaboration to provide training and development opportunities for staff to bring about sustainable improvements for all our children.
