History and Virtues
We believe that anyone can excel and that everyone deserves the best and we strive to deliver an outstanding education that focuses on high expectations, challenge and rigour for all our students. We work hard to foster a strong sense of community and responsibility among our students, taking great pride in our inclusive and comprehensive ethos.
We are a large and vibrant community school set in the beautiful seaside resort of Eastbourne (known as The Sunshine Coast) flanked by the South Downs and countryside of outstanding natural beauty. Travel links are excellent with the M25/M23 motorway link providing easy road access to London and the rest of the country whilst trains take 90 minutes to London Victoria, 35 minutes to Brighton and 30 minutes to Hastings.
In July 2017 OfSTED judged us to be a “good” school that provides a high quality and challenging education for every student, regardless of their ability or circumstance. We are particularly pleased because it captures the essence of Ratton – a school that successfully develops confident, creative and caring students.
