Sidcot School

Sidcot School is a mixed, independent, all-through Quaker school and sixth form for pupils aged three to nineteen. It is located in Winscombe, Somerset, in south-west England, and has about 590 students on its roll.

The School can trace its history back to 1699, when it was founded by Quakers. However, it moved to its current site in 1808.

The School is a registered charity, and is administered by its governing body.

Quakers believe “in living life adventurously and letting their lives speak”. In practice, the School says, that means teaching in a way that encourages individual thought, questioning and exploration. The School also aims to ensure that pupils have all the support they need to grow as individuals, and recognise and celebrate their talents.
