Winterton Community Academy is a co-educational, non-denominational secondary in North Lincolnshire. The school has held academy status since 2012. The school is located close by to Winterton Church of England Infants School. The town of Winterton has a population of 5,000, and is located 5 miles northeast of Scunthorpe. A Termly Report is issued to parents on their child’s progress, as well as an annual parent’s evening.
Values and vision
The Academy is proud of its place at the heart of the local community, and encourages connections with local businesses and outreach programmes through work experience placements and charitable fundraisers.
Winterton Community Academy understands that it can only achieve the best for its pupils through the dedication of an understanding and able staff. With this in mind the academy has high expectations of staff and believes that in order for them to realise these aims there must be continual investment in their personal and professional development.
