This Powerpoint consists of 10 morning activites all based around pokemon. There are 5 maths based activities covering different topics and 5 english activities that need different skills to complete. The presentation is completely editable, so can be adjusted to fit the skills of your class if necessary. Some of these would work as good time fillers as well if you had twenty minutes to spare or wanted to look at a skill in depth. My class really enjoyed them. I have tried to make it so they can all be enjoyed, whether the children play pokemon or not.

Pokemon Spelling Activities

10 pages of spelling activities based on Pokemon. Activities to practice the spelling of common exception words (KS1). PDF pack of literacy resources that covers National Curriculum KS1 objectives (but based on a topic that could also be of interest to slightly older learners). Perfect for homeschooling, as a homework project, to supplement other classroom learning, to use with SEN pupils, those with gaps in their KS1/KS2 knowledge or those who would simply benefit from a re-cap. I am a homeschooling mum of a 7 year old child with Asperger’s (and a range of other SEN), as well as a former secondary school/SEN teacher. He responds well to project-based learning and so I figured others might benefit from this approach too! I am only just getting started with selling my resources so I would be very grateful for any feedback.

Teach inference and PEE Paragraphs to students using Pokemon! You don't even need to know anything about Pokemon to use it effectively! These lessons work well as one big rolling lesson so you can move at whatever pace works best. It works well for any age range and any ability. There's a range of activities available from watching an episode and analysing the relationships to creating Pokedex entries about Pokemon. I do not own any rights to Pokemon. All clips have been taken from Youtube and all images from Google.

Three worksheets included. Red - LA 2’s, 3’s, 5’s and 10’s Green - MA 2’s, 3’s, 4’s, 5’s and 10’s Purple - HA 2’s, 3’s, 4’s, 5’s, 6’s, 10’s and 12’s These were used for the first lesson of multiplication with my class. They thoroughly enjoyed the activity and the challenge and extension kept them working all lesson. This lesson was to promote using mental multiplication and using the commutative law when hey thought that they couldn’t solve it (e.g. 11 x 2= ‘don’t know my 11 times table’ - use the commutative law to make it easier)
