This 270 slide Powerpoint covers all of the first year of the single A Level Applied course (based upon the Edexcel course). It includes explanations, worked examples and questions for students to do. I have included everything, possibly more than you may need but I’d rather give people the option to skip a slide than have to make something up on the spot. Colleagues of mine used this during the first year of the new course. The “Forces and Motion” part has been edited.
This bundle of booklets covers all first year (AS) topics in the new linear maths A Level (Pure, Statistics and Mechanics). Each topic has a student booklet with gaps with them to fill in the solutions to the examples and a teacher’s booklet with detailed worked solutions.
The booklets for the second year topics are available here:

This booklet is designed to aid A-level Physics students in practicing and developing their problem-solving skills for A-level Physics examinations, university admission tests in Physics and related subjects, or university preparation after their A-levels. The booklet contains numerous fully solved questions in detail, covering topics such as Classical Mechanics, Quantum Mechanics, Electricity, and Magnetism. Each question’s solution includes a comprehensive explanation of the solving process, accompanied by detailed sketches—crucial tools for effectively addressing challenging problems such as those we encounter in Classical Mechanics. This booklet offers valuable insights into creating effective sketches. The general structure of the solutions guides students on how to approach and solve challenging problems.
This is a booklet that contains detailed revision notes written to aid AS/A-level Mathematics students with their Mechanics revision. The general structure of the booklet is such that, along with the notes, there are worked examples designed to illustrate the concepts. We have also included as many diagrams as possible in order to aid understanding.
Contents covered:
Kinematics
Linear and projectile motion
Statics and dynamics (forces etc.)
Moments
A Comprehensive set of resources to teach and test Force and Motion in One Dimension (Chapter 2) for CIE A level Mathematics (Mechanics).
Package includes;
A complete 31-page presentation resource-pack explaining in detail the whole chapter. The presentation comprise of teaser questions, worked exercises, videos, simulation and detailed explanations with flow of lesson in note section of presentation.
A complementary handout which is provided to the students during the lesson. This saves time for students as they don’t have to take intense notes thus enabling them to focus on the lecture. The handout carries questions that are discussed in the class and help teachers detect any knowledge gap in their comprehension of concepts. But more importantly, the handout is a comprehensive summary of the chapter which the student can refer back to when needed.
*This resource is designed to last around 3 lesson hours.
**This resource is suitable for examination 2022-2023
AS Maths Statistics & Mechanics notes- Chapter 10 (Forces & motions)
I am currently a 3rd year medic in the UK and this resource helped me achieve an A in my AS Maths.
This is a subtopic of a complete set of handwritten revision notes for Edexcel AS Maths and the content can be made easily applicable to other specifications. These are invaluable for anybody doing this course and will save you hours of sorting through notes both online & the textbook, as well as analysing the specification and having to present it all in an effective manner. Unlike other revision materials this resource is full and concise, and makes revision simple and easy without leaving any gaps in your knowledge. It summarises the key points to learn and puts the knowledge into practice with worked examples. The examples start off at a basic level and excel to A* level. The more challenging and higher grade questions are marked with a * to help learners know what level they have worked to.
