White Rose Maths - Mixed Age Place Value Small Step Progression - Block 1

In order to help teachers of mixed year classes we have created a small steps progression across year groups from Year 1 – 6. The small steps progression will show where learning objectives link within year groups and which small steps can be taught together to cater for different year groups. Place Value has been split into 7 different themes. • Representing Numbers • Counting and Multiples • More or less • Compare and order • Rounding • Roman Numerals • Negative Numbers These 7 themes cover all the learning objectives from Year 1 – 6 and show how learning progresses across the years. We hope they are useful.
