Here is my PowerPoint trying to structure questions for the AQA Level 2 Further Maths syllabus from past papers. For use by giving to pupils and leaving them to it, or working through topics as a class. I have included Practice, specimen and sample assessment material to support the limited amount of new papers. I have also attached older questions from the old specification for more AQA exam style question practice. If you like it, please share and give 5* :). Also works extremely well on iPads.

GCSE past paper Questions (New course 2018 - ) Edexcel, AQA & OCR

This is my attempt to organise the new GCSE course. I have collated every question from 2018- Jan 2019 from Edexcel, AQA and OCR, including any practice and the sample assesment papers (which were all found on public websites- no paper which requires a password has been included to jeep these questions fresh). With links to go between exam boards for extra questions on topics (due to only a limited amount being available currently). Allows teachers and pupils to practise exact areas of weakness. For even more questions, but from the IGCSE course for edexcel (one or two different topics, but much the same) please see my IGCSE resource: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/igcse-past-paper-questions-new-course-2018-edexcel-12313814

Here is my PowerPoint trying to structure questions for the new A-level syllabus from past papers for the core content (CP1 & CP2). For use by giving to pupils and leaving them to it, or working through topics as a class. I have included sample assessment material to support the limited amount of new papers. I have also attached older questions from the old specification for more edexcel exam style question practice (although these are more limited in their appropriateness - and I have not yet taught everything so some may not be - please use your own judgement). If you like it, please share and give 5* :). Also works extremely well on iPads/ tablets with the powerpoint app. For addditional Further Maths A level resources please see: Further Mechanics 1 https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/further-mechanics-1-2017-course-edexcel-revision-12178213 Or for the single course: A2 https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/maths-a-level-revision-edexcel-a2-12108315 AS https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/maths-as-level-revision-edexcel-as-12109107

Work Energy Power teaching resource

Given 9 different scenarios, pupils are asked to balance their WEP equations. If you, like me, find the way many textbooks teach WEP to be too full of different formulae and highly confusing at times deciding which bits of energy go where in the equation, you may have taught yourself the topic in a different way. I have tried to accumulate two seperate ways to approaching these problems. Firstly, through logical reasoning of balancing either side of the = sign before using a single formula a (very smart) colleague of mine introduced me to to show a ‘one fix trick’ to all their WEP woes. Please comment to let me know how your lessons go if you use it.

I have included Practice, specimen and sample assessment material to support the limited amount of new papers. I have also attached older questions from the old specification for more edexcel exam style question practice (although these are more limited in their approproiateness - especially on applied topics). This is the largest (and I think possibly best) resource I have ever made. With every single question (1772 of them) from 80 papers all categorised and hyperlinked to allow teachers and pupils to practise exact areas of weakness. From All 4400 and 4MA0 papers, including reserve papers.

SUVAT Burglar Mystery escape rooms style activity

(1)
This is an escape rooms style activity to take rougly 90 minutes (or more depending on teacher input) for a group of about 10 students. The crown jewels have been stolen and the detectives must use the suvat equations to determine which of the arrested suspects is guilty. Please ensure you read the instructions carefully as the task is quite complex, but lots of fun once it gets going!

Conditional Probability (visual method)

This is my powerpoint introducing conditional probability using a visual method and fractions. The formula P(A∩B) = P(A|B) x P(B) is introduced through this method and referred to, but not used as part of the calculations (the idea is for pupils to understand where this comes from). Starts off by basic filling in Venn diagrams and moving on to given that statements - some tricky questions within Venn diagrams and one tree diagram question. I would suggest breaking up the powerpoint with questions at various stages.

Reflect on work Plenary - 'Little Miss No-Show'

(0)
Self reflection plenary activity which could be used in any subject at any age. The idea for this plenary activity was to try and think of a way for students to teach themselves when revising. I introduce 'Little Miss No-Show' as an often absent member of the class (either through truancy or illness etc - generally a little crazy story to keep students entertained) and set the class a short 5 minute task of writing a letter to her illustrating what we have done in the lesson and the mathematical steps needed to complete a question, including their own made up example.
