This resource was used with year 6 students who were studying contemporary dance. This is the written assessment which is 3 pages long. In this task, students are required to compare, contrast and reflect on their choreography and that of a teacher choice video (video not included, however, the assessment is open ended and does not name a video so anything could be used). There are 4 multiple choice questions at the end of the assessment regarding contemporary dance. Lots of space is provided for students to record their answers and the resource is appropriately scaffolded. Whilst used in a year 6 class, this reosurce could be used in any upper primary or lower high school dance lesson.

This resource is aimed at upper primary/lower high school students who are studying contemporary dance. This resource was used with year 6 students. As part of their assessment, students had to create contemporary dance choreography but needed to include a particular contemporary movement in their dance. Each movement and description on this resource was cut up and handed out to students. They had previously been taught what each movement looked like and how to dance this. This resource could be used in an assessment task, as a whole class activity or as a poster displayed in a classroom explaining different aspects of contemporary dance.

This year 2 written drama task can be easily adjusted for older students to make it more challenging. It is based on the topic of Humpty Dumpty with 2 of the 9 questions based around their Humpty Dumpty drama performance, however, the Humpty Dumpty wording could be removed to make it more general and open ended or specific to another topic. The questions involve some picture with multiple choice selections and mostly short sentence level writing. The assessment asks student about what is drama and why drama is performed, as well as allowing them to reflect on their performance. This assessment links to the curriculum by having children discuss how voice and movement was used in their drama performance.

This resource is aimed at Year 1 students but could easily be adjusted for younger or older students. This drama assessment scaffolds students thinking about what is drama and where do we see it, it asks student to identify emotions and create their own emotions and to also rate their own drama performance. It is open ended so can be used for any topic. Lots of pictures used to help students so there is limited reading and writing required.

In this planning assessment task, students are creating their own teeny tiny world and characters. The resource guides students through scaffolds and prompts to create their own script which they will then perform to the class.

This drama assessment is for upper primary or high school students and involves students responding to a performance they have viewed. It is an open ended assessment with the teacher able to choose the performance to be viewed and this resource used as an assessment. The task links the drama elements which students then need to write about including providing examples and describing how that drama element was performed in what they watched.

This resource is on the topic of drama freeze frames and is an assessment task designed to link the drama elements and have students reflect on their performance. It was used with year 4 students but could easily be used with older students too. There are no pictures and little scaffolding, students are required to write multi sentence level answers for most of the questions.

This resource gets students to create 4 freeze frames and has them plan out their performance by either writing or drawing in the spaces provided. An example, is provided on the second and third page. Students are asked to think about what happens to the characters in the part of the story they have selected to create their freeze frame about and how they will act this out (i.e. what positions they will hold in their freeze frame). This resource is an open ended task suitable for any topic. The examples provided are based on the topic of Eliza Bird but the questions in the planning frame do not specifically link to this topic.

Students are required to write in this upper primary/lower high school drama assessment about the drama elements and feedback on their performance, as well as evaluating and critiquing themselves to what they could improve on. Students are also able to write in detail about the drama element of movement by discussing what actions they performed. There is minimal scaffolding and no pictures for this assessment and is aimed at older students in upper primary and above. This is an open ended resource which is not linked to a specific topic so this could be used as a framework for any topic.

This drama assessment is a planning resource aimed at mid-upper primary students. There are 3 pages of this resource. The first page is a checklist for students to know what they need to include in their script, the second page is a list of 15 different scenarios (groups chose 1 scenario to write about for their script) and the last page has planning space for students to write their script. The resource has lots of prompts (on the first page) with the inclusion of the checklist with things like: tension, stage directions and reminding students how to write a script in the correct format. The checklist links to the drama elements.

This homework grid contains 15 English tasks, spread across 3 pages with clear instructions and examples provided. It is most suitable for students in upper primary (year 5 or 6) but could also be used with lower high school students (year 7 or 8). Activities are designed to help students be creative and as such there are no worksheets. Tasks can easily be altered and can be used as a guide. The tasks could easily be extended to create a lesson. Some of the topics covered in this homework grid include: figurative language, editing task, narrative and persuasive writing, researching and writing an information report, definitions and sentence writing, and writing reviews and recipes.

Topics included are: angles, the 4 operations, writing tasks, advertisement and money (dollars and cents is used - this will need to be changed if using a different currency).

There are 10 English tasks over 2 pages on this Homework grid. It is aimed at upper primary/lower high school and is to be used in conjunction with work taught in class. The activities can be adjusted to make them easier or harder or could be used as class based lesson activities where the teacher provides further instruction on the task. The topics include: crime writing, speaking task, synonyms and antonyms, persuasive writing including PEEL paragraphs, and diary writing. The persuasive writing activity is spread over 4 tasks but could easily be extended if the task was for 1 paragraph per activity.
