CVC Rhyming-Word Dominoes 146 CVC words

(1)
CVC Rhyming-Word Dominoes This twist on the familiar game of dominoes helps reinforce words that belong to the same word family. Laminate and then cut them apart. Give groups of three to four students a set of cards. Have them place the cards in the center of the group. Have the first player choose a domino and place it in the center of the playing area. Have the next player choose the next domino and try to connect it to the first by matching rhyming words. If the connection is made, the play continues to the next child. If no connection can be made, the child keeps the domino for another time and the next child takes a turn. Players continue connecting cards until no more matches can be made. They may use dominoes they were unable to connect on previous turns or select a new domino from the set. Challenge> Stock a center with copies of blank domino cards. As students learn new word family spelling patterns, they can create new domino games to play. I really appreciate your careful review and helpful suggestion. C-instruments Beginner Method: chime bars, bells, piano, xylophone, tongue drum, boomwhackers

(0)
A resource for class or peripatetic teachers in primary education to assist in teaching total beginners. Intended as a gentle and gradual introduction to music reading. You will get four PDF booklets with notations: C-INSTRUMENT Piano accompaniment Rhythmic Melody Guitar tabs & chords INSTRUMENTS THAT CAN BE USED All instruments in the C-major scale: chime bars, bells, xylophone, glockenspiel, steel (Chinese) tongue drum, kalimba (thumb piano), boomwhackers; and also piano, guitar, percussion etc. WHAT IS IT? The method consists of 12 lessons which are essentially 8-bar music exercises. Each exercise introduces a new note/rest length or another musical symbol, with lessons named after the topic they cover. All lessons/topics are listed below. The notations are formatted in landscape orientation for use on electronic devices or printing. FOR WHOM? This method is recommended for students in primary school education without any previous music knowledge. C-INSTRUMENT NOTATION To assist young learners, the notes are colour-coded by pitch. The C-instrument notation uses a large font, with note names given under the notes. The 12 lessons cover only 4 note pitches; the rest are introduced in the Intermediate level. Lesson names / topics covered Music Fractions (1/4 + 1/8 notes, C-D ) Half note Quarter Rest Half Rest Three Notes (C-D-E) Repeat Dotted Half Note Dotted Quarter Note Four Notes (C-D-E-F) Waltz Pickup bar Triplet The following are optional resources to assist with teaching. PIANO NOTATION Piano sheet music is provided for teachers or intermediate/advanced students, with the right-hand part following the melody, and the left-hand providing an easy accompaniment. Note names are inscribed in the note heads and the notes are coloured by pitch. The piano notation also includes chord names. RHYTHMIC MELODY It contains the rhythms of the melodies in a 2-line percussion stave (low and high sounds), coloured by length. The notation includes musical elements such as tempo indication, numbered bars and beat numbers, making it ideal for teaching note lengths to young students. Can be used as introductions to the lessons or for playing percussion from notation. Each Rhythmic Melody lesson also contains a 1-2 bar ostinato suggestion, which could be used for drummers wishing to play steady rhythms instead of reading notation. GUITAR TABS They contain the melody, chord names and strumming indications. To be used by intermediate/advanced guitar players who already play the guitar to some extend and want to join the class with their instrument. OTHER BEGINNER-LEVEL RESOURCES This resource pack is in the C-major scale. Other resources in this series that use the same melodies include Harmonica (in C), Ukulele ©, Recorder (D*), Ocarina (D*) and Guitar (G). The ‘Beginner level precedes the ‘Intermediate’ and is followed by the ‘Nursery Rhymes 1’ level.

Las emociones - ¿Cómo te sientes? - Card Game

(2)
This game is the classic " I have... Who has ...? " game, designed to practice the main feelings and emotions in Spanish. This is an easy-to-play game and a great way to practice essential language concepts with the whole class. As students match up the answers on their cards with questions on other students’ cards, they get valuable practice with vocabulary, as well as reading and listening skills. Directions: Cut out the cards along the dotted line and laminate. For bigger classes, you might want to print several copies of each set. Give out all the cards in the set to the students. It is important to use all the cards. Choose a student to go first. I usually do that by a counting rhyme (for example, En la casa de Pinocho, solo cuentan hasta ocho, 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) Have the selected student read the question at the bottom of the card aloud and then put the card down. The student who has the card with the answer then reads that answer aloud. This student will then read the question at the bottom of their card and put the card down. Play continues in this fashion until all of the cards have been played. The game will end with the same student who started play. Every card in the set is connected to a card before it and a card after it. To keep the game moving at a quick pace, all students need to pay attention to every question that’s asked. I tell my younger students that this is a magic game and that the magic only works if you pay attention, which is actually true. The magic happens in the end, when the question on the last card actually matches the answer on the very first card. Enjoy!
