Friendship boundaries PSHE lesson. A one-hour long, very detailed, fully resourced PSHE lesson suitable for KS2. This lesson has been created for Year 3, however, the contents of the lesson are suitable for students across KS2. In this lesson, the students will be introduced to the concept of friendship boundaries. The students will discuss personal boundaries in the context of what is appropriate in friendships. We will reflect on a number of scenarios including bossiness, telling embarrassing stories, taking other people’s belongings, overstaying your welcome and respecting personal space. The lesson includes an information sheet, a video clip task, a set of case studies, a ‘friendship charter’ activity, and an exit ticket plenary task. Created to fit the new DfE and PSHE Association statutory 2020 /21 guidelines, the lesson includes a detailed PowerPoint, all editable with accompanying tasks and worksheets. The lesson has been left editable and is filled with engaging, well differentiated and fun activities. This was put together to be a class assembly with the theme of friendship. I also used converted videos as part of the assembly that I cannot upload with the resources. This was designed for a year 3 class of 27 children - all chn have 2 speaking parts. Hope you find this useful! (You will also need a bowl and paper chain people for the friendship ‘recipe’) Video 1: Queen song - ‘You’re my best friend’ with the word ‘honey�� changed to ‘Jesus’ and the word ‘girl’ changed to ‘Lord’. Video 2: Furever friends Video 3: i-movie of children talking about their friends - why they are friends-what makes them special etc. Video 4: Toy Story’s ‘You got a friend in me’.
