Roll and Spell Spelling Practice

(0)
This download contains 6 activity sheets containing a range of active ways to practise and learn spelling. Children will need a dice and paper to use alongside this resource. Children should roll the dice, and practise their spelling word/s. This activity was designed for KS1 but would work for children in KS2 as well if they still struggle to learn their spelling words. I have these laminated in class and give them to children during morning work or spelling practice time. If you have any questions, please ask :) C x

Spelling, punctuation and grammar test - Paper 4

(0)
A question paper which focuses on and tests 28 common areas of spelling, punctuation and grammar (SPaG), from capital letters to homophones, ellipses to subordinate clauses and various other key elements in between. The paper should take a maximum of 45 minutes for pupils to complete. Once finished, pupils can self or peer-mark the papers with the included answer sheet and receive instant feedback on their strengths and weaknesses (teachers may choose to mark them themselves, however this is not required as they are more than capable of doing it themselves, saving on both planning and marking!). This is the fourth paper in a series of six that I have produced (they can be completed in any order). I use one paper each half-term to reinforce the importance of SPaG and to monitor pupil progress. A record of their scores can be kept on the pupil record sheet, also included, which also serves as an easy reminder in lessons as to the areas they need to be aware of when writing. My classes really enjoy doing these as they allow them to identify their own next steps to work on, but also because they get that immediate feedback to their work.
