A set of 50 short, SATs-style inference task cards designed for quick, no-prep reading practice in Year 6.

Ideal for lesson starters, guided reading and intervention groups, these cards help pupils develop inference skills through short, focused questions without the need for lengthy comprehension tasks.

Simply give pupils a card, ask them to respond using:
“I think… because the text says…”
and build the reasoning skills needed for the KS2 SATs reading paper.
