Free SOHCAHTOA practice for right-angled trigonometry: identify opposite, adjacent and hypotenuse; choose ratios; calculate missing sides; and explain a plausible mistake. One student page plus a full worked-answer page.
Designed for Years 10–11 (ages 14–16) learners who have already met the basic trigonometric ratios. Allow approximately 10–15 minutes. A scientific calculator in degree mode is required. Questions use supplied values; no measuring is needed.
Included: matching colour and printer-friendly PDF and editable Word editions, four files containing the same two-page resource. This is two unique pages, not eight.
Free companion to the paid OpenLatitude Right-Angled Trigonometry teaching pack. Use independently; no purchase required. The paid resource adds a similar-triangle investigation, worked instruction for sides and angles, a tower-height application, classroom reasoning, separate homework and full teacher guidance. The one-page Trigonometry Quick Reference is another separate free companion.
Print on A4 or choose fit-to-page for another paper size. PDF preserves the layout; Word or compatible software is needed to edit the DOCX, and edits may change pagination. Diagrams are embedded images and are not to scale.
