Description

This revision guide covers the physics in Unit F180 Fundamentals of science for the Cambridge OCR Advanced National in Applied Science (H051/H151). It is written for the current specification (version 8, October 2026).

Each spec point has a one- or two-page spread, so students always know where to look. Every page includes:

a short list of “I can…” statements and a confidence tracker
key definitions to learn accurately
equations marked IN BOOKLET or NOT IN BOOKLET, so students know which ones are printed in the data booklet
worked examples showing where the marks are earned
“Red pen” boxes on common mistakes and how to avoid them
quick-fire recall questions, with upside-down answers.

What’s inside (64 A4 pages)

Front matter: how to use the guide, a route map that doubles as a progress tracker, how the F180 exam works, command words, two maths toolkit pages, and the data booklet decoded.

P1 Electricity, P2 Motion and P3 Medical physics: 31 teaching pages, with an opener for each topic.

Practicals 5 and 6: method storyboards, results, errors and faults, plus a practical skills toolkit for Section D.

22 exam-style questions: timed, with answer space.

3 checkpoint tests: 15 marks each, one per topic, with “what next” advice for each score band.

A 30-mark mock exam: Sections C and D, set out in the style of an OCR paper.

“20 ways to drop marks in Section C”: common slips, each with a one-line fix.

“Mark it like an examiner” (7 pages): every answer set out as a mark scheme, with marking points, ALLOW / DO NOT ALLOW guidance and a common-mistake note.

45 key definitions on one page.

12 cut-out flashcards: print double-sided at actual size, and each definition lands behind its term.

An exam-eve page with a kit checklist, timing plan and score tracker.

On screen: the PDF has bookmarks for every topic and test, and clickable page references, so “answer on p.53” takes you straight there.
