Seventeen lessons on 'Animal Farm' - originally these lessons were used with a very able year 9 set one class. The resources can be easily adapted to meet the GCSE criteria and include: lessons on context, rhetorical devices, symbolism, themes, language devices, propaganda, narrative hooks, text comparison, inference and writing and reading tasks that are grounded in the text. My students really loved learning about this text and it was a joy to teach them.
