Year 9 or GCSE. PowerPoint discusses terminal velocity and falling without air resistance and there is an investigation (with investigation write-up template) at the end. I should mention that there are running jokes about my dislike of dogs (sorry!).

Great powerpoint although the dog thrown out of the aeroplane was a bit distressing (for me). Linked nicely with the old 9K QCA spec and a parachute investigation instead of the cupcake cases. Thanks.

The powerpoint introduces the concept of air resistance as an object falls and uses v-t and s-t graphs to highlight what happens, thus linking 2 topics on most GCSE Additional Science P2 specifications. The last slide may be optionally used to introduced a "falling cupcake case" investigation or you could modify the slide and use the cheap (Poundland/Home Bargains or similar) nappy sacks as parachutes.
