'Macbeth' GCSE Unit - 36 Lessons (KS4)

This 36-lesson Macbeth unit is targeted at KS4. It covers context, analysis of a film, reading of the play, annotation of key quotes and essay-writing skills. I am currently an AQA examiner for English Literature, and I have used the knowledge gained from that to make this unit.

I have also bundled in a document containing Grade 9 analysis of 28 key quotes, which you might find useful for your teaching.

2-9 = Watching and analysis of the film (Shakespeare’s globe)
10-22 = Reading of the play and analysis of key quotes
23 = Macbeth and Lady Macbeth’s journeys
24 = Messages of the play
25-27 = Creating revision cue cards
28-35 = Practising questions and essay-writing skills
36 = Final assessment
