Booklets on the GCSE topics of Health + Leisure (based on the AQA syllabus). I have produced them for reference in lessons + to assist in preparation for controlled assessment.
I have posted some ideas on revision + memorisation techniques on my blog www.mfljones.wordpress.com
The imperfect tense is presented with an opportunity to practise the langauge following a clip from the Spanish TV series 'Física o Química'. The video is embedded + you must be connected to the internet for it to work. The YouTube link is also shown on the relevant slide.
A two page worksheet on irregular verbs in the preterite. Sections include: conjugation practice, changing the verb from the present to the preterit, and personal questions. The personal questions can also be done as an oral activity in class. The worksheet can also be used as a quiz or test.
These Spanish readers are fun end of the year and school activities! Each of the 2 booklets contains 16 pages: the title page with 15 additional pages. One contains text and images, and the other contains text only so students can sketch and create their own versions of the booklets. Also included are suggestions for using the booklets and an assembly instruction page.
Students first cut, assemble and read the booklet containing text and images. Words included are sombrilla, barco velero, cubo y pala, concha, playa, helado, pelota de playa, gafas del sol, toalla, bronceador, pez, castillo de arena, sol, olas, and cangrejo. They then sketch and create their own versions with the text only template.
The illustration version can be projected in class to present, review and practice pronunciation of the vocabulary words. The text only version can be projected onto the Smart Board and students can draw pictures on the Smart Board that correspond to the text.
