This is a complete lesson on the opening to Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier. It looks at narrative hooks and literary devices such as personification. This could be used as a stand alone lesson for reading and analysis skills, or as part of a Gothic SOW.

As the last reviewer commented, the 'Type of Narrative Hook' resource is still missing. Useful as a brief overview.

Brief overview of narrative hooks and how they relate to “Rebecca” but one of the resources mentioned in the PowerPoint was not included and some of the text and font choices need attention.
