This is a fun and engaging coloring activity on 1D Kinematics motion with constant deceleration/negative acceleration (v₀>v! when the object is decelerating). The problems are well selected, students will be looking to find the acceleration/deceleration, initial velocity, braking time and braking distance. Students will use the main equations:

  1. v = v₀ - at (final velocity), 2) s =v₀t - ½at² (displacement), 3) t(braking)=v₀/a,

  2. s(braking)= v₀²/ 2as. After solving a problem, the students find their answer in a table. This tells them what color to use in the coloring page. Students are asked to show work on a recording sheet provided.

Typed solutions are included.
