A collection of twenty-five short reading comprehensions. Each one comprises of a main non-fiction text to read, one comprehension question, one inference question and four words to define to build vocabulary.
They have been created to send home as homework with encouragement to complete with an adult in around 25 minutes. However, they would also be suitable for interventions, booster groups or extension activities.
The topics covered are wide-ranging, covering more traditional subjects like Vikings and dinosaurs to more contemporary subjects like PT Barnum, eSports and Disneyland so will appeal to many children in Y5/6.

Very varied texts and useful questions. However, I've already had to correct a couple of "it's" eg Tyrannosaurus : it's reputation : should be its reputation and it's powerful bite should be its powerful bite etc.
