40 starter-style keyword activities covering 10 Modern World History topics including:

World War One, World War Two, The Cold War, Britain 1905-1951, Germany 1918-1939, Russia 1905-1941, USA 1919-1941, Vietnam 1954-1975 and Northern Ireland 1965 - 1985.

For each topics there's 1 x wordsearch, 1 x anagram sheet, 1 x crossword and 1 x alphabet brainstorm analyser (4 x 10 =40). For some there is more than one activity, so there's more than 40 in total.

Includes space for students to explain the keywords and suggested extension activities. Ideal for the start of a lesson, a quick filler, part of a cover lesson or as a plenary on the board with a whiteboard pen.

The idea behind these is to get students to become more literate and think independently about the words that could be used to describe the topic being taught. Often the students will pick up on things that you would not normally expect!
