Overview

This Circular Motion resource bundle is designed for Pearson Edexcel International A2 Physics. It develops angular displacement in radians, angular velocity, tangential speed, centripetal acceleration, centripetal force and the force modelling needed for horizontal and vertical circular motion.

The materials build from secure IAS mechanics into A2-level multi-step reasoning. Students are supported through derivations, equation selection, unit conversion, proportional reasoning, free-body diagrams, experimental linearisation, uncertainty analysis and unfamiliar applications such as artificial gravity.

The complete bundle supports direct classroom teaching, independent study, revision and assessment preparation. Premium classroom presentation slides form a core part of the full product, alongside printable student and teacher resources.

What’s Included

This bundle includes:

  • Student Notes — structured explanations, derivations, formulae, diagrams, practical guidance, misconceptions and quick checks.
  • Worked Examples — fully solved multi-step examples with method choices, calculations, units, checks and interpretation.
  • Practice Questions — progressive A2 practice covering radians, angular velocity, centripetal acceleration and force, vertical circles, practical analysis and uncertainty.
  • Challenge Questions — higher-demand derivation, synthesis, design, synoptic and evidence-evaluation problems.
  • Mini Assessment — a focused 30-mark chapter assessment combining calculation, modelling, practical reasoning and explanation.
  • Mark Scheme — detailed answers with working, reasoning, partial-credit guidance, acceptable approaches and common-error notes.
  • Lesson Plan — a sequenced classroom plan with starters, main teaching, checks for understanding, differentiation, practical work, plenaries and homework.
  • Teaching Notes — teacher-facing explanations, misconception interventions, practical and safety guidance, questioning prompts and extension routes.
  • Presentation Slides — a premium classroom-ready slide deck for whole-class teaching, worked examples, guided practice, misconception checks, visual explanations and direct lesson delivery.
