This is a Guided Learning lesson based on 'A Christmas Carol'. I used this lesson to prepare students for their GCSE English literature where they would be analysing 'A Christmas Carol'. This is aimed at a high ability class. It has the learning objective 'how can I confidently reflect my analysis skills when answering an exam question?'. This is a guided learning lesson, so has tasks for pupils to complete on the board for 20 minutes of the hour long lesson, where pupils complete these tasks independently, giving the teacher time to work with other pupils on a skill that they might not yet have mastered. Includes differentiation for higher and lower abilities as well as peer assessment of work. Pupils need to have read 'A Christmas Carol' before this lesson.
