A half term’s English work based on ‘Charlie & the Chocolate Factory.’ This year 4 / 5 set of lessons includes different types of creative writing, letter writing, comprehension & punctuation exercises.
There is also an extension worksheet presenting an example of Hillaire Belloc’s Cautionary Tales (Matilda) and one of Aesop’s fables (The Boy Who Cried Wolf).
This could be used as the basis for further research. The lesson plans suggest you record feedback of students’ work - which if annotated on the plan would be a great aide-memoire for report writing at the end of the year. There are also suggestions for displays.
The inclusion of lesson plans is very beneficial and a great time saver, although they can obviously be adapted to support your school’s preferences. This bundle could save you many hours of work!
