My class 'received&' a letter from Captain Pete Pigeon, during our literacy unit on writing letters. We wrote back to him on the &';scrolls' and it made a really nice display, along with the old fashioned map, compass and title.

My Prep class were thrilled to receive a letter from a "real" Pirate and it was the beginning of some fantastic writing as they had to reply to him. The letter sparked some great oral language, play and reading and writing and culminated in a visit by the Pirate himself. Thank-you
