I got students to complete worksheet as a starter activity, using a dictionary. Then, I presented my PowerPoint and they ticked their correct definitions of the key words on their sheets. The PowerPoint then leads them on to define abortion, consider the legal limit for an abortion in the UK and then finally to offer a personal opnion. Works well as lesson 1 on abortion.
