Adding/Subtracting Mixed Number/Improper Fractions

This PowerPoint contains a lesson on adding and subtracting mixed number and improper fractions. Start activity revises simplifying fractions, calculations with fractions of the same denominator and then with different denominators. Main part of the lesson covers converting between mixed number and improper fractions with supporting questions. Then follows on to adding and subtracting the two types of fractions as well with supporting questions. I have also created a bingo for this lesson. The bingo pp contains 2 games: 1 for converting and 1 for adding/subtracting. I used this lesson for a year 8 group and got through entire presentation and both bingo games in an hour.
