African Music Project Year 7

**This is a complete Scheme of Work for Year 7 Music, based on the characters in Madagascar. It includes a Student Work booklet, a Homework Booklet, and a teacher guide with 5 x full lesson plans, supported by 5 x PowerPoints, and answers for the homework tasks. The project is fully resourced, and fully differentiated based on the legacy level system (Level 3c to Level 9/ Exceptional Level), and it includes a fully detailed display-ready level criteria that is extremely useful. The work book is based on a series of rhythm grids, introducing students to graphic notation, converting it into staff notation, and performing in a group. Beyond Level 6, students can attempt vocal tasks up to and including 3 part harmony, and an exciting radio show task – both of which can be simplified to provide access to all levels of ability. There are listening and composing tasks in the homework booklet, with 14 x MP3 audios to support the tasks. Overall, there are 12 x homework tasks, up to 7 x main tasks, all of which are differentiated into 3 tiers of outcomes. All of this comes with a full teacher guide and structured lesson-by-lesson PowerPoints with clear objectives and outcomes.
