Aided Language Board

Aided language boards are collections of symbols or pictures that relate to one activity or topic. Aided language boards can help children:

• understand what is said
• share what they want to say.
  You can use aided language boards with individual children or in small groups. You can use aided language boards across a range of activities and subjects.
  Aided language boards are easy to use. Simply point to the symbols and pictures as you talk to children, to support what you are saying. Soon, the children might start doing the same.
