A writing unit based on the short animation Alma complete with a teaching PPT, thinking sides/jotters, and planning sheets. Each PPT is broken down into roughly a week of teaching. The unit follows mapping out and then writing the Alma story in small chunks before the Independent Write where children can plan their own ending or manipulate the story as they see fit. Punctuation and Grammar is taught in context within the journey as is aimed at UKS2 although the slides would be easily adapted for LKS2.
